This idea has potential. However, providing a bit more detail about the transition could help garner trust and support from the community.

I kept getting confused with the GALA token.
Having helped the guys with tickets more than once when they asked why they couldn’t vote, it turns out they bought and held the wrong token.

G - short and understandable to everyone.
Great idea, thanks

I support this proposal! And I would like to argue my opinion.

Many users may argue that they are used to the GAL marker, but there are more important factors to achieve Galxe’s goals in web3 and inside the platform in general.
Yes, of course, any changes cause a wave of opinions and emotions. But if you think globally and rationally, then you will definitely come to the following conclusion:

It’s about recognition and branding. I am sure, that migrating the token contract and simplifying its symbol can be perceived as a sign of growth and evolution.

Shorter token markers are easier to remember and recognize, which can enhance the project’s branding. This simplification can make the token more appealing to traders and investors, potentially increasing its visibility in the market.
Think about the fact that the most popular brands and projects have one symbol in their name. You can easily list them yourself.

I also don’t exclude the possibility of migrating to a new contract can enhance a token’s ability to interact with other blockchain platforms. This interoperability is key for tokens that aim to be used across various applications and ecosystems. This is just an assumption that already has the right to exist.

In essence, changing a token symbol to a shorter marker can significantly contribute to the token’s marketability, ease of use, and overall perception in the cryptocurrency space. I am confident that these changes can collectively foster a more vibrant and engaged community, attract additional investment, and pave the way for long-term success.

Thank you for your attention

I like that idea.
This will definitely take away the confusion for new users with the Gala token
It will also reduce the chances for impostors who can link themselves to the GAL token
Looking forward to Gal transition to G

I think it’s a good idea!

“G” is shorter and more succinct than “GAL”, making it easier to remember and pronounce.
Also “G” has a more modern and minimalist aesthetic, which can appeal to a wider audience. In today’s fast-paced world, simplicity and brevity are often valued in branding and design.

I like “G”, lets do it :fire:

This is unnecessary. Gal is better associated with Galxe than G

I feel there are many other things that share the letter G. GAL is a bit more descriptive and distinct, which makes it easier to recognize and separate from 10’s of thousands other cryptos.

I think the G is a very good ticker symbol, simple and beautiful.
I would like to carefully discuss the transition of the contract. This is a general idea about manufacturing, but all quality non-conformities occur when changes are made. Contract updates should also be done more carefully.
