Summary

This proposal seeks DAO approval to bridge the full G balance held in the DAO treasury from Gravity Alpha Mainnet to Ethereum Mainnet.

As Gravity transitions away from Gravity Alpha Mainnet, the DAO should begin the migration process and move its treasury assets to a supported network before Alpha Mainnet is discontinued.

Motivation

The DAO treasury currently holds G on Gravity Alpha Mainnet. With the network being phased out, leaving these assets on Alpha Mainnet may create operational and accessibility risks after the migration deadline.

Moving the G to Ethereum Mainnet will:

  • Preserve access to the DAO’s treasury assets
  • Keep the assets on a supported network
  • Reduce risks associated with the discontinuation of Gravity Alpha Mainnet
  • Ensure the treasury is prepared for future DAO operations

This proposal does not involve selling, swapping, or reallocating the G. It only changes the network on which the DAO treasury holds the tokens.

Proposed Action

Upon approval, the DAO treasury signers will:

  1. Bridge the full available G balance from Gravity Alpha Mainnet to Ethereum Mainnet using the official Gravity bridge.

  2. Send the bridged G to the DAO treasury address on Ethereum Mainnet:

    0x5f07826ce32a77E028819E17b7fB274d4B6f31c7

  3. Retain a small amount of the native gas token on Gravity Alpha Mainnet if required to complete the transaction.

  4. Publish the relevant transaction hashes in the Forum after execution for transparency.

The exact amount bridged will be based on the treasury’s available G balance at the time of execution, less any amount required for transaction fees.

Execution Timeline

If approved, the treasury signers should complete the bridge transaction as soon as reasonably possible and before Gravity Alpha Mainnet is discontinued.

Security Considerations

The transaction should be executed only through the official Gravity bridge. Treasury signers should verify the following before approving the transaction:

  • The source network is Gravity Alpha Mainnet
  • The destination network is Ethereum Mainnet
  • The destination address is the DAO treasury address
  • The token and amount are correct
  • The bridge contract and interface are official
